CT Scan Results are in...
The fourth quarterly check I’ve had came back....
OK!
I didn’t have any reason to think it wouldn’t, but still feels really good to see it in black and white.
Still seeing plenty of longer term impacts of the chemo, but feel like I’m gradually detoxing.
Healing at a deep level- cancer was the wake up call that set me on a new trajectory ❤️🩹
Going for a CT scan is still a strange experience- having the contrast dye injected by the machine and the strange warmth you feel gradually moving around your body is… odd.
Next time I have to see a specialist because my veins are so tiny they had to try 4 times to access them! 🫣
So I’ve got the ok for next scan to be in 6 months time. A long time when I’ve been used to taking it month by month.
If you can take anything from my journey with cancer, please let it be that you need to trust your intuition and listen to your body. I knew something wasn’t quite right for about 6 months before I got the diagnosis- I pursued various different tests (not via a doctor). It was a test-at-home kit that got me answers. Take control and self-advocate!
Thank you to @bowelbabe and @survivingsupportingsisterhood for helping me be aware of the warning signs. That is part of their legacy. Each day I send them both a little prayer of thanks 🙏🏼 🩷
